Searched the manual and "flam" doesn't seem to occur and very few occurrences in the forum.
Am I missing a way in the rhythm tab to do a snare flam? |

Snare flams can be programmed in accents and fills but are not available in the rhythm tab. That's a Jamstix 2 list item, though. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

If I absolutely need one, I add a snare note to the Jamstix MIDI track slightly behind the JS note to get a flam.

No release date. Q4 2006 is the target but it may slip. This will be a BIG update, not just a 'cosmetic lift' with a few new features. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Now you really made me curious. I just hope you don't go the "Musiclab" way in terms of upgrading. Like... releasing deadlines and don't release it, release something and then remove it a couple of days later, ignoring questions, etc. And most important... Only "upgrade" to the "big pack" if you have bought "all upgrade packs extra" before.
The Flam thing is a simple task, indeed. But I'm also looking for Jamstix2 (possibilities for Ride as with hats?) and it's obviously tons of new features.
And to ask that again... er... you're native german by chance that moved to the US? Just out of curiousity. |

Compyfox...
I too am waiting for "flam support" in the next version. I do own all the packs and participate in the beta testing. The support that Ralph and his team supply should be a model for all software companies!!!!! I have often seen individuals who have a minor issue and Ralph and the team put out a fix within a couple hours (or less). This is one company I have 100% trust in.
These guys are the best! _________________ Marcus2323

We try to keep things as 'straight' as possible in terms of announcements.
However, software development is inherently unpredictable when you are operating in somewhat 'unchartered territory' as we are currently experiencing with JamBassist, which is past its original deadline.
I can assure you that we will offer upgrade paths for all users regardless of what combination of JS products they bought.
I can also assure that we will continue to strive for best support possible and will always answer any question.
