Hi, I've watched the tutorials and listened to the demo clips, and this is what I've been dreaming of. I use DFH and battery. I tried to install the demo, but I only have 256mb ram so it wouldn't install. I need to know a couple things:
1. Can you mix song styles and tempos within a song? Lets say I have a song going along at 120 bpm in a hard rock style and I want a middle section of 70 bpm ballad style. Is this possible?
2. Will Drumstix work with Tracktion 2 or N-Track.
3. What will Drumstix do to a preprogrammed midi drum file?
4. If I recorded a track using Drumstix can I edit it like any other midi file? |

We'd really recommend 1GB for any serious DAW work nowadays.

Yes, Jamstix is synched to the host so as your sequencer slows down or speeds up, so does Jamstix.
Using the arranger in Jamstix you can load up to 16 rhythms at once and then just click what rhythm you want in what bar. That way you can assemble complex drum tracks easily and quickly.

We know it works well with T1. Is T2 out, yet?
There is a thread in the support forum about n-Track. I think there are problems

|
Option 1) You add Jamstix, select rhythms manually and arrange them as needed
Option 2) Pick the track with the main MIDI instrument (i.e. piano) and copy its content into the Jamstix MIDI track. Then set Jamstix to free jam or key word jam and let it play. You can fine-tune as needed and when you're almost satisfied, you can switch back to manual mode and do some fine-tuning in the arranger (reassign rhyhtms to bars, fills etc)

Jamstix has MIDI out so you can record it output and then route it as you wish.
You can also use the Jamstix MIDI export function to save the track as a standard MIDI file
Both functions are limited to bars 1 through 4 in the demo
Hope this helps! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Does MIDI export ask you for a length (# of bars)? How long can the MIDI files be? _________________ Rock softly and carry a big stick. Wait, what am I saying? Don't Rock softly. - Rock Churchill |

MIDI Export will save all bars from 1 to the current bar that you are one when you click Export. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The bar you are on in the Jamstix arranger or in the host? _________________ Rock softly and carry a big stick. Wait, what am I saying? Don't Rock softly. - Rock Churchill |
