Hi there. I am having issues getting an output signal in BFD. Jamstix is registering my midi signal as I see the meter moving. I have mapped the sounds tab in mapping to bfdall.dll. Help...

We'll need some more detail:

What host is this? Did you load the BFD All mapping (recommended) or did you just load the DLL manually into JS?

Host is Sonar Home Studio XL. I have tried both all and stereo mappings. Did not load DLL manually.

Okay, let's check things step-by-step:

- new Sonar project
- add Jamstix
- load mapping 'BFD Set 1'
- select 'Snare' in mapping tab and click 'Audit'. Do you hear the sound?
- go to the jam tab, click 'Free Jam'
- hit Play in Sonar (or record if it doesn't want to play an empty project)
- after a few beats do you hear BFD playing?

I tried all this but unfortunately silence. I can play a midi file directly into BFD but not JS.

Playing a MIDI file to BFD through JS wouldn't make sense to me.

Are you sure you had Jamstix free jamming and BFD didn't make any sound? Did the green LED in the right bottom of JS light up to indicate event output?

If all fails, please add these lines to the [General] section of the jamstix.ini file:

Logging=1
FullLog=1
FlushLog=1

Now repeat the steps and let it play a few bars based on the steps I gave and then send me the rzdlog.txt file from the jamstix folder to support at rayzoon.com and set Logging=0.
