Hi Zauni,
Just popped over from the tracktion forum at kvr. Found a little issue with one of the patterns in the demo, under key word jam, there's a group called "snare on 1 and 3" which only contains one pattern called "reminds me of something". Basically it doesn't have a snare on 1 and 3, the snare is on 3 and 4.
I was looking for a 1 and 3 pattern for a Motown-y kind of beat, I like the motown intro pattern you've got, but haven't found anything similar yet for a northern soul style tune i'm piecing together.
Just thought you'd want to catch that and fix it for the next demo, i know it's only tiny, but there you go
Cheers |

Thanks for the catch, we'll fix get that fixed!
I'm not sure about snare on 1 and 3 to begin with. Any known songs as an example? Generally, patterns with snare on 1 and 3 sound like a 2,4 pattern moved a half bar.
Maybe you're looking for a snare on 1,2,3,4 pattern, which I think is a quite a bit motown-ish.
This ZIP has the fixed 'Remind me...' pattern and also a new Snare 1,2,3,4 pattern which may fit your bill. Just unzip into the 'rhythms' directory of your Jamstix installation.

You're right, i do need something with a snare on all the fours, not just 1 and 3
This is why I need jamstix, 'cos i just don't pay enough attention to drums to do them myself. Doh.
thanks Zauni |
