|
|
When I use DFHS inside of JS, create an arrangement in JS, and then do the offline "bounce" within DFHS to make the DFHS wav files, and then import the resultant WAV files, the timing of the files is off by a fraction of a second. If I start the wavs at the exact start of the tune (0.0.0.0) the wavs start "late".
This may just be something with DFHS and Cubase, but I never use DFHS outside of Jamstix, so I'm not sure.
Has this ever come up before?
Thanks. Love JS!!!

Hi Andy,
Are you using DSP-card based plugins? Also, try setting your audio priority in Cubase to normal. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, Ralph.
Uh, I don't think I'm using any DSP based audio plugins...
I don't see anything in Cubase about setting "audio priority", but I'll keep looking.
Thanks

I thought I'd just post an update for posterity.
I fixed the above problem by selecting "record at MIDI start" in DFHS prior to attempting the bounce. Works fine now, and timing is perfect. Don't know why I would have to do that, but the DFHS support website suggested that to another user as a fix for a bounce timing problem, so I tried it, and it worked.
I imagine in some cases where the MIDI doesn't start until several bars in to the tune, it might be a problem, but I'll deal with that later.. _________________ Andy Casiello, SGP

Well, I should have done more homework before posting the last fix. The actual problem was a bug in DFHS, specifically related to bouncing tracks in Cubase SX3. There is a new (latest) update of DFHS, (version 1.5.3) that fixes this problem. No need for the "record in MIDI start" bandaid.
I downloaded this latest release and installed and tested it. Problem solved. _________________ Andy Casiello, SGP
