Has anyone had any luck getting a good sound with the Jamstix Brush rhythms, using drums from Garritan Jazz and Big Band?
I'm looking to get a good laid back jazz sound... But when I switch from internal sounds to the VST, it starts to sound a lot more mechanical, and velocities are all wrong--any advice on mapping and changing parameters to get a good sound out of an external VST?
Has anybody already created a drum map for the Garritan Drums?
While we're at it, has anybody created a drum map for DFH2, NS kit, or StormDrum? Care to upload?
Thanks,
chris. |

Concerning velocities: I recommend you go to the mapping tab and adjust the velocity maps where needed.
For example: if a sound doesn't seem to 'reduce' enough when played softer, make the line in the map look 'exponential' (middle part dropped down). This will cause the VSTi to use lower velocities sooner.
If a sound is too soft in the middle velocities, raise the line in the middle, making it look logarithmically. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
