ive read every post, havent even bought it yet....right now i have giga 3 and sonar 3[going to upgrade to5] rme interface,,winxp s2..

whats the best way to run jamstix in the different versions of sonar?
as a softsynth or dxi or vst???? and since i want to use my giga drums
ill probably need the 3rd part wrapper for midi out?

anything else?

Sonar only supports DXi softsynths. Jamstix is a VSTi softsynth. You need to use the built-in Cakewalk wrapper or DirectiXer to make Jamstix a DXi. It will then show up in the softsynth list of Sonar.

Yes that's the tricky point with Sonar. You'd need DirectiXer to route the Jamstix MIDI output back into Sonar and then to Giga. I'd definitely try this all out with the Jamstix demo and DirectiXer demo before committing to it.
