If you still have the rzdlog.txt from the session, please email it to me.
Please also add this line to the [GENERAL] section of Documents\Jamstix3\jamstix3.ini:

This may fix the problem. |
Tested @ PriorityMode=1 & it seems to do the trick. ty. |

Yes, I have a similar experience. JS excels in a lot of things but the bar and part editor interfaces are not among them.

A great release however I do have a recurring issue in Cubase 7.5. On first time launch JS always produces the error: "Cannot Open Core Event".
error.txt contains the line:
ERROR [10] GLE=1989482400
The most recent rzdlog.txt is from a previous session so it doesn't look like anything is being written/updated to the log file when this session is launched and the error occurs?
On subsequent re-opening of the same project it all works fine however.
Odd!

I am on Sonar X3 and have reaper. I downloaded the 3.6 update file from customer download page and clicked install and everything seemed to work fine from an install perspective. Then the fun started....
Essentially I could load the 32 bit version of JS 3.6 in Sonar and Reaper and Savihost. 64 bit version did not work at all. Would insert as a vsti in both Sonar and reaper, but as soon as you tried to open the plug in the host, it hard crashed both hosts.
Tried all sort of things, but eventually I :
1) Saved all my license files on desktop
2) deleted all files in my JS 3 folder in C: directory (only left data folder and empty bin folder)
3) deleted all previous versions in my X86 VST folder and my Sonar VST folder (these are where I install all my VSTIs)
4) did a new install of the 3.6 executable.
5) Put my license files back in all folders.
Now it works.
I used to see 2 versions of Jamstix in Sonar 32 bit and 64 bit. Now I only see JS 3 64 bit (which is okay as I am all 64 bit now)
When I open the plug in hosts the version is JS 3.6 X64 so now I am good.
I suspect that there was leftover garbage from some of the 64 bit BETA versions I installed that may have messed things up?
Will continue to work with it and report anything i find.

yes it works in reaper 64 bit.
JS 3.6 X64 inserts and opens and plays and all my kits and packs are available.
Again, there is only one version of jamstix now in the vsti choices. But when it loads it is 64 bit and for me that is what I wanted.

Only one issue so far: "Preview" bar button (blue circular arrow) not working - it lights up but no sound. Have to loop the bar and use Reaper transport to hear. |
Hi! I have loved using jamstix for a long while. I have the same issue as above with J3.6.0 in 'Sonar 8'. It seems that clicking on Jamstix takes the focus off Sonar's window, and stops the audio engine.
Clicking on 'Preview bar' button lights up but no sound, but plays when I re-enable the audio engine.
Clicking on the drums in 'kit' view, stops the audio engine, and the drum sound. I have had the host playing empty bars to use the kit view as normal.
Not urgent, but is there any way to configure jamstix so it doesn't take the focus from the host?
Cheers!! |

We can't control the focus issue as the moment. Please adjust the audio options in SONAR to not release audio drivers on process switch. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I'm still getting regular glitches about every 5 min that interrupt the audio while I'm playing.
Pretty sure it's Jamstix related, more than likely UI |
