Any news on a release date yet? If it could be before my holiday that would be very nice, haha.

There is no release date, yet. All I can say is that it will be within this year.

[quote="Zauni"]I think Hugo's examples are very worthwhile. Everyone has different opinions about rhythms, sounds, arrangements etc. Let's all be respectful of the work of others! [quote]

Didn't mean to be confrontational or disrespectful, just honest ... and I did mean "no offense" and apparently none was taken ... Hugo's response shows he knew what I meant. I was more interested in your (Ralph's) opinion of the jazz groove examples Hugo supplied. If you are the one programming the beats, you need to be well-versed and skilled in the execution thereof. Hugo's examples are exactly why we all need professionally done drums grooves. If we could, we'd all just do them ourselves and I have done so respectably enough, but at the expense of tons of time! The jazz-pak add-on could be a great addition to Jamstix ... Just want to make sure we're all on the same page as to the end product's validity. If you feel that Hugo's examples are "worthwhile in the sense that they are the direction you will go, then they will be of no interest to me. If you meant that they are worthwhile in some other sense, perhaps as stylistic "types"? then I can accept that.
Anyway, hoping to see some examples and maybe beta testing as soon as you get the new pak up and running ...

We'll do the best we can with JazzPak with the allotted resources. Once we have a demo you'll be able to judge whether it fits your bill.

Yes, I'd definitely buy this as well.

Some work on JazzPak is in parallel with JamBace, such as brush kit recording and editing. Recording has just been finished.

The code part of the project will be finished after JamBace is released later this year. There's no reasonable estimation on the release date of JazzPak at this time, though.

RALPH ZEUNER SAYS: TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING. I HIT EDIT INSTEAD OF QUOTE. SORRY JOHN!

I vote for JazzPak. I am highly interested in your product and will buy it specifically for this add-on. How about a release for Xmas?

Hi, John, and welcome to the board!
JazzPak has already been released under the name 'BrushPak' and is available now. Here's a link to more info and audio demos:
http://www.rayzoon.com/brushpak.html

I would like a latin "machine"...can't explain this one but will know when when I hear it. I play at times with a gentleman from Brazil...

We have a 'Latinize' character in the jam controls that 'latinizes' any given rhythm and adds percussion to it.

I would like pedal control of brush/stick

Jamstix currently does not let you switch from brush to stick mid song, if that is what you are asking for?

Quote:

single time/double time, bebop hits (can you to this now?), and the meter - (switch from 4/4 to...)

Yes to all. Sig-wise, JS can do 2/4,3/4,4/4,6/8. It can switch sigs within a song so you can do compounding in the host to get other sigs (i.e. 3/4+2/4=5/4)

I have not seen your product in trade magizines though.

We're taking it easy on the advertising front right now (online only at the moment) and will slowly expand into that territory. We try to charge low prices and spend dollars wisely.

Quote:

I confess I am not a drummer (guitar/bass), do you get a lot of bad press from drummers? I am afraid to tell my drummer friends about this product!

I'm a drummer myself. It's usually only the bad drummers that complain... Very Happy
