| I am using Cubase VST5/32 and the options for automation aren't what they are in SX, which is why I could really do with being able to force the powerplay via the controller. |

I know, I know, beat me bloody, I'm a greedy bastard, but this would be great for people like me who do their mixing, etc. in Adobe Audition (no vsti support). Thanks for your patience with us, Ralph. You truely are one-of-a-kind! |
FWIW: You can use a program called Total Recorder (costs about 20$) and simply have Jamstix play your drum track, and TotalRecorder will record all audio coming out of your sound card in real time, and capture it to a WAV file for you, (or WMA, MP3 etc)
Hope this helps as a 'getaround' - I've been using this program for years to record radio shows through RealPlayer that you aren't "allowed" to record

Sorry for not explaining better. Actually, I'd like Jamstix to record just the drum part as a .wav file/s (preferably with the option of each drum or perc. element on a separate track) when jamming in free jam mode. This way I could capture the "inspiration of the moment" so to speak. I believe Total Recorder captures everything coming out of the sound card's audio out. With no way to separate specific instruments. Besides it would be great to have the above function in Jamstix itself. This one option would make this program perfect IMHO. I guess it must be too hard/impossible to code or it probably would have been included already. However, I'm still hoping. |

I think there is a plugin that you can put in the host's output as an FX to record to WAV. Not sure what it is called, you may want to check the KvR database. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Silverspike's TapeIt 2 will do this for you and you can have multiple instances working at once and starting in sync too (IIRC).
