Please look at the audioM8 interface in Acid, it will give you a number in the top right corner, which must be 1.43.
The file date should be 2/17. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Hey Ralph, I apologize, but I don't know what or where the audiom8 interface in acid is to determine which version it is. I just know how to bring in jamstix as a VSTi into an acid project where I have recorded audio tracks. |

Jamstix will not work in Acid 6 Pro at this time at all, other than as a 'dumb' sound module, due to the Acid SPP bug. So the whole audioM8 issue is moot until Sony fixes Acid 6.
Sorry for not making the connection earlier! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I have acid 5. Havent been doing much for some time. Had version 1.32 of js. Worked just fine.
Went and updated to version 1.6. Now when I load js in Acid it loads, but when I go to mapping it freezes. I want to use my BFD module, which worked before, but now acid just crashes when I click the mapping tab. I tried reverting back to 1.32, 1.5 etc. Tried refreshing my vsti plugins. Still freezes when I go to mapping page. Nothing works.........Im beginning to really dislike Acid pro. |

Please try running Jamstix 1.6 in MiniHost or SAVIHost so we can make sure it works fine on your machine. Let's go from there. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks Ill try those.
I think acid pro is just not very well supported for js. I now can get js to work in Acid pro 4f, except I cant hear previews for the preset fills, intros etc.
And Acid 5c now cant even recognize js as a vsti instrument. It only sees it as a vsti effect. I had this problem before.
Do you ever converse with the sony people to try and get them to get thier "heads out of thier...uhhumms"? I just seem to be chasing my tail here..I fix a problem then I encounter a new one. Fix that, and the old problem returns..on and on it goes.
Id move on to something else, but Im invested in acid already, and I know how to use it and like the layout. Not to mention software of this type isnt cheap.
I read that acid 6 doesnt support js at all? Is that right? |

Acid 6 has broken VST song positioning info, which makes it impossible for Jamstix to synch. Other plugs using synching are also affected (i.e. fxpansion Guru).
Sony has acknowledged the bug and promised to fix it in the next update. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

FWIW, Sony just released a much improved Acid Pro 7, after a year or two of it appearing to be abandonware.
I'm curious to hear whether anyone has tried Jamstix 2.5 (or any earlier vn.) in this new release. If not, I may have to go pioneering in a while.
{Disclaimer: Acid isn't strategic to me, but it is the best loop software, IMHO, and has a role to play in some pad/bed construction jobs.
I'm just getting started with Reaper, in the meantime. Which seems very user-friendly for more conventional recording projects.} |

I have Jamstix 1.x and Jamstix 2 both of which function in Acid Pro 6. Recently purchased Acid Pro 7 and neither 1.x or 2 show up in the VST dialog box to add to a project in Acid.
Need help. thanks.

Make sure the path to JS is in the Acid search path. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hey Ralph... Honestly never had to designate a path for VST added. Acid always sets them up automatically. Could you be more detailed or do I need to ask Sony? Thanks. _________________ http://www.reverbnation.com/geoffreyparrish
