Dropping MIDI onto the brain will always affect the groove only and can work in conjunction with other brain elements as well as cover the entire part.
The new feature in Beta 3 is dropping on the bar editor (any cell will do). In that scenario the MIDI goes to groove, accent or fill based on what aspect is active. The MIDI will also not 'work' with other brain elements in this mode. It is a static import.
Only the input MIDI mapping needs to be set for these MIDI imports. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for clearing this up for me.
Do you think that a popup message that asks the user if they want to do drop onto the Brian area when the Accent or Fill Aspect is selected might be a good idea to avoid someone accidentally changing the Groove when they really only want to change the Accent or Fill?

| Quote: | 5. I select Fill and drag MIDI file with the fill onto the Brian element area.
6. I had 2 measures of fills so I drag a 3rd MIDI file with the fill onto the Brian element area on the next bar.
7. All is well up to this point.
8. I tweak a fill Brian element and my fill changes.
9. I then drag the fill MIDI file and drop it onto the Brian element area in the Fill page like before but this MIDI file goes to the Groove. |
Damn Brian now I know why your music is so good, you've got a Brian element LOL. Hey Ralph, can I get one of those too? |

But we already gave you the ability to 'muth' the brain, didn't we? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Judging by the results I think it's out of calibration LOL. |
