That's all quite odd. The file should have more entries after the 2.2.1 updater runs. Please do this:
- delete the file js2.ini from \data\sounds
- run the 2.2.1 updater again
- see if js2.ini is back and with more entries _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Deleted the js2.ini from data\sounds. Updated again.
Now the original error is still present, but there are more entries in the js2.ini file:

I'd like to completely start from scratch.
How can I be absolutely sure all entries are gone from the registry and all file locations on C: ? |

You're still getting the 'You need to run the latest Jamstix updater..' message? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes.
It occurs to me it might be an issue with captured settings in my Reaper cache. Is that possible? |

Uninstalled the program completely using add/remove programs.
Loaded Reaper, reinitialized its cache. Shut it down.
Installed 2.0 and the stock kits. Should have been 200MB+, data folder is only 19MB, none of those files landed in the right place.
So whatever is wrong persists beyond uninstallation. |

New wrinkle.
Uninstalled Reaper, Jamstix 2. Reinstalled both.
While Jamstix is 2.0.0 it loads, and the rdzlog.txt is created.

After the 2.2.1 update is run, there is NO new rzdlog.txt created and the error message returns. |

Please uninstall JS2 again and then re-download and execute the plugin installer from your download page (I have just renewed your links). This is a full installer and it is 2.2.1 already. Let me know if you have any problems after that. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for the new installer, but I've tried every combination of uninstalling and relocating that I can think of. No dice.
Interestingly enough, I did get to a point where I didn't get the message, but no kits were installed yet. Then I installed the Jamstix 2 stock kit, but the data folder only grew to 40MB, yet the rxp2 file is 90+. Then the message returned.
The js2.ini file shrunk back to that 12 line version I posted above. |

We need to figure out why your kits are apparently not installing right. Please run the stock RXP2 again and then immediately send me the file rzdlog.txt so I can review the install process. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I'll do that when I get home tonight - won't be until after 6:00 pm MST, though. Thank you for the assistance. |

I've "installed" the stock kit.
No rzdlog.txt file is being created. I've searched all drives in my system and there are none bearing todays date.
Also, the filenames are not appearing in the bottom status bar, but I don't know if that is normal for 2.2.1. |

Extremely weird. I'll have to e-mail you a special Build to get to the bottom of this. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
