There is a loop problem in Live too. Even if I export the midi data to Live (to tell Live exactly how long the loop is) while the midi clip loops, the overall timeline keeps moving forward, so jamstix is stuck in "Nothing to play for this bar".

That appears to be a Live bug. It doesn't update the VST song position info properly.

I still get the FL Studio no sound behavior in 2.0.1 (default kit or subhosted addictive drums), even though the revisions.html lists this as a fixed bug. |
Make sure it says 2.0.1 in the top right corner. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I can confirm it works with FL7 now.
Thanks again Ralph. |

I have installed 2.0.4. In FL7 I get sound, but only if I am playing in Pattern mode. Looping in the Jamstix arranger works fine (at the end of the pattern, it loops back to the beginning). If I am playing in Song mode, I still get no sound.
It seems like having jamstix own/manage sequencing the drum parts adds quite a bit of complexity when you are integrating with a vst host which provides sequending services. I haven't gotten all the way through the docs (so excuse me if I am missing something explained elsewhere), but I don't understand how Jamstix sequencing is supposed to work. I use my Host to manage/arrange the sequences for ALL of the parts/instruments - having to go to a separate window/application to arrange some of the instruments is kind of a problem. For example, I may do some initial sketches in Reason, store the midi in Reason, and use Rewire to send start/stop messages to the Reason sub-arrangement, but when I start to finalize things I export the midi from Reason and import it into my host (leaving just the instruments in Reason) and complete the arrangement/sequencing in my host, sending start/stop AND midi events to Reason. If I want to continue this compositional process in Jamstix2 do I scratchpad up the arrangement in the Jamstix arranger in Jam with Midi mode and then drag/drop the song midi into the host, where I edit/sequence it further, using Jamstix2 in Drum Machine mode? |

Hmm, it works for me here (FL6). You do play past the Intro, right? Just making sure since the intro is silent, of course.

Yes, that's what I'd recommend if you want to skip the JS2 arranger. Just use JS2 as a tool to develop grooves and fills and then drag-&-drop or record them into your host and set JS2 to drum module mode (disable Map GM)for simple playback. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Actually I haven't tried pattern mode. I went straight to song mode set the loop point after the 16th bar and hit play and it seems to work fine. Haven't really tested anything else yet. |
