This is really an odd one...
Please try this:
- load your project (with JS/BFD)
- go to the mapping tab and load 'Internal Silence'
- if SX doesn't hang up, now try loading other internal sound mappings. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Sorry, I just posted a similar problem in the Cubase SX thread. I also have this problem, as I said in the other post Jamstix appears to read a sample multiple times before moving on to the next giving a granular feel to the screeching sound. I'll keep lurking unitl I hear of a result.
cheers,
John
PS I've used Jamstix on a reggae track I've been doing and the client absolutely loves it, sounds just like a real drummer to everyone who has heard it. I've converted the Jamstix instruments to audio files and nudged the snare earlier to build up the excitement, in Jamstix itself I can only delay sounds and I was delaying the Kick and Hi Hat for the tracking but I set these back to nominal and dragged the snare early for the mix (yet to be completed). _________________ John Zed

This almost sounds like a MIDI feedback loop. Make sure you do not have a track in SX with input=jamstix and output=jamstix.
The latest beta, which I just recommended for you to use in the SX thread, will detect most MIDI feedback loops and disable input playing in such cases. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
