I must be doing something wrong.... I am using manual mode with a 3/4 time 92bpm in my host(Sonar 4) and in the rhythm tab I am setting the kick to play hard on 1 and softer on 3... the snare to play on 1 ans always sidestick.... HH to play 'closed, closed, open" okokok.....

BUT, I do NOT hear the snare! Confused bumms me out, I know I must be just missing something... when I crank up velocities I can make it play and it will do a bunch of fills... but all I want is a simple sidestick hit on the 1! just to add to this I click the "s" button in the snare area, I assume that is "solo" and again get nothing unless I crank up the min velocity... one more thing to be absolutely clear, I have tried this with several sets and snares, all the same problem!

PLEASE help!!!

I will reboot and start up my project.... just to see......

Uncheck the box 'Allow Reduction' in the jam tab and make sure 'Reduction' in the rhythm tab is all the way left.

noo , now I get it on the "1" only every now and then....... RANDOM
.......w ierd........ FWIW all the other drums are working as I instructed them.. and the snare will hit on the one MORE often now, but sometimes will not, odd.....

sometimes INSTEAD of my snare , I get a deep BOONg sound on the one, Im lost..........

playing around more, it sounds like "tom3" is the culprit, playing when it is NOT checked/hilighted! when I mute tom3 it will not hit on the one of course, but then of course I would have no option to use IT in a normal capacity..... meanwhile the snare just "plays when it wants"... wierd

Please use the 'Save Bank' command in your host to save the jam to an FXB file and send it to support at rayzoon.com. Also, please send the rzdlog.txt file from your jamstix folder right after such a session.

there didnt seem to be anything to save in the Sysx view.... odd.... I will send the other file you requested!

Im so lost... I just want that snare or any drum to be there in manual mode, and for that matter the #3 tom shouldnt be hitting at all....

in this project, what I want in the end is to be able to set up 2 consecutive 3/4 measures to give a 6/4 feel, in this case the snare only on 1 and of course other drums as well, but then the next mesure would have no snare hit on the 1, maybe an open HH... I dont know yet Very Happy but i wanted to try for my first time to manually control the measures and copy/paste them in my arrangement, etc....

for the life of me i searched all around the software interface last night to find some parameter that I was missing, hopefully the rzlog will tell you something!

Haven't gotten the file, yet, just in case you already sent it.

Save the FXB via the preset menu controls on top of the Jamstix window in the wrapper toolbar.

I sent you the log file you requested to rayzoon@rayzoon.com yestersday(last night) but I did not send any others... If this is a bad address let me know, I had just hit reply last night to the message that was sent to my email etc....

and I'm sorry but I do not know what an FXB file is... I am running to the gym right now, I will be back at about 7:30pm est, I sure hope you are around this evening later, I sure understand if you are not given it will be later....

I will try to figure out what an FXB file is when I get back, again if you read my previoous post, you will see what my odd malfuntions are, regarding the tom3 playing when NOT checked and the snare playing "when it wants to"..... the song I am playing with has the drums coming in in the middle of the second verse then going away before the end of the song, with the parameters that I had mentioned before... So for this one it was/is just fairly crucial that they "play" just exactly what I want... I tried free and keyword jams and just didnt get the scant feel i needed so I hope we can figure this out.... Thanks o overworked one!!!

I'll see ya(check this post) at 7:30ish!!

Click the item 'Preset Options' above the Jamstix GUI and choose 'Save bank'

Also, please try the latest beta as it has various changes:

If you still have problems, please send me the CWP Sonar file.

It sounds as if you are either in free jam with the 'Snare Tom3' slider a bit to the right or you are in manual jam but were previously in free jam with said slider position.

In manual jam, this is a bug, which we will fix since the 'Snare Tom3' slider shouldn't apply to manual jam.

EDIT: Just got the FXB, stay tuned...

Yep, that's the problem. You can fix it by going to free jam, moving the 'Snare Tom 3 slider' all the way left and then going back to manual jam.

We'll have a fix in the next beta.
