|

I wonder if something could be implemented where jamstix saves every single part individually and together as grooves/fills/entire songs in a project folder.
for instance,
you have "song 1"
which has 3 different parts.
Every time you save your host, or every 15 mins, jamstix spits out all of the grooves and fills into a folder as individual files or even midi -
and/or
it makes revisions of the songs as backup in case you get that dreaded "jamstix turns black and you lose everything" thing
is there anything like this and if not, can we have it? An automated way to have parts and songs being spit out into actual files would be amazing. |

Interesting thought that we will definitely consider.
Just to make sure, you are familiar with the revisions system (disc icon in bar editor plus options in song menu), right? There's also an auto-save feature in the options. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I will look further into those, I knew there was something already there.
But having jamstix spit out midis/j2ds/fills etc would be amazing. As long as it can be done fairly in the background liek during a save. |

| im juust all about flexibility and redundancy. Also, it would be neat to be able to have the midis just in case something wasn't functional or you were on a different PC |

sorry for all the posts in quick succession, but, these functions you talk about, I've seen them, but are they automatic?
I see 15 minute autosave, what does that do exactly? Is it all internal or are there files somewherE? |

We have just changed this logic a bit in the 4.5.0 Beta 1 so I recommend you install that and try it out. All the revisions go to the same folder and you can see the files and reload them via 'Load Revision Point' in the song menu. The files are created via the following:
- manually, by clicking the disc icon in the bar editor
- manually, by clicking 'Save Restore Point' in the song menu
- via auto-save if selected
- if auto-save is not disabled, a revision file is also created when you close the project in the DAW (this will have the word LAST at the end of the file name) _________________ Ralph Zeuner
