CLOSED - OFFICIAL VERSION 4.2.0 HAS BEEN RELEASED.

A public Beta for Jamstix 4.2.0 (PC) is now available.

Here's how you can get your hands on it:

1) Use HELP -> OPEN MANAGER/UPDATE TOOL in Jamstix to update to the manager version 1.1.7

2) Make sure 'Install Beta versions When Available' is checked in the 'Install Options' of the manager tool

3) Connect and you should see Jamstix 4.2.0 Beta 3 available to you

Changes in this Beta are as follows:

enabled brain element 'Freeze' for composing brain elements
fixed brain display issue introduced in Beta 3
BETA 3
style and player presets are now recalled from song project
improved multi-selection of parts
overlay dialogs can be made nearly transparent by holding CTRL and SHIFT keys
BETA 2
added new drummer model 'Gavin'
added new kit 'Gavin'
added bar wrapping mode to groove importer so imports can be adjusted to different time signatures
added 'Condense Parts' to song builder. If unchecked, sequential parts of same type are no longer condensed to a single part
added 'Custom Percussion' to Brain menu -> Add
added '16th' modes to 'Connective Pattern' for Jamcussion Brain menu -> Add
fixed groove importer considering wrong time signature during import in projects with multiple time sigs under certain circumstances
added 5 new EZX output mappings (Big Rock, Indie Folk, Made Of Metal, Progressive, 70's Rock)
added player preset 'Power Play' for model 'John'
minor adjustments to 'Simon', 'Roger', 'Mel' and 'Steve' kits
fixed information text for 'Jamstix 1' style
added 'AfterTouchChoke' command for output mappings for 3rd party plugins that support that mode
if 'Install AI files only...' is checked, all kits now automatically load in 'MIDI output only' mode
fixed license issue with MetalPak drummers when AIPak is not present

If you need to uninstall the Beta for some reason, do this:

1) In the manager, click INSTALL OPTIONS and UNcheck 'Install Beta versions When Available'

2) Connect and install the official version shown

3) Connect again, set the official version to 'Repair' and let it install

Works fine so far, love the new drummer Gavin, only problem: could not find the new "Gavin Kit" ? Looked under kits/rock and some other, no Gavin to be find.

Hi,

I tried beta 3 recently, but I have gone back to the current stable release after experiencing the following issue.

Occasionally, all the style and drummer elements on the Groove page disappear. This does not happen on the Accent and Fill pages.

Changing the style or drummer does not have any effect (i.e. the elements are still not displayed), and I cannot restore the elements without completely unloading and reloading Jamstix.

It happens at random times, and so far I cannot reliably reproduce the problem.

I can reinstall the beta and take a screenshot if it would be useful, or if there's anything else you want me to test, just let me know.

If you could take a screenshot of the entire screen showing Jamstix and the bar/beat counter of your DAW when the problem appears, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

The problem has been identified and will be fixed in Beta 4.

crashes Cubase (Not Responding) when trying to unload it from the right zone.
also crashes Cubase after loading a few Jamstix saved songs.

so I went back to 4.1 for the time being.

I can submit the Cubase Project file if needed.
