New forum member here! I'm a semi-pro drummer and play out frequenty and record in a midwest country rock band. I just purchased Jamstix in hopes that it can "desterilize" some of the stuff that I record using my e-drums in my home studio.
Since the Christmas special is running, I want to make sure that I take advantage of it before it runs out. I purchased the XL version, but am wondering if I should take the plunge and get either Jamcussion or upgrade to the Studio version (if Ralph lets me).
Question-Does Jamcussion use simple looping for things like shaker and tambourine? I get pretty tired of recording shaker and tambourine parts, but don't want overly repetitive loops in my recordings. What makes Jamcussion different than the loops bundled with so many DAWs, etc? It's a bit tough to tell from the audio demos on the site.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Mark,
Jamcussion composes parts in the same manner as Jamstix. It does not use loops at all and composes based upon the Style and Drummer controls in the Jamcussion "Brain" and the Jamcussion Kit chosen. It is its own separate entity and can be used alone or along with Jamstix. I own it and it works great in my opinion. Hope this helps. |
