Changes From 3.6.0
- WINDOWS: fixed Microsoft runtime logic in installer
| Not here, I'm afraid.
Earlier today, I updated from v3.5.0 to v3.6.1 (on Windows 7 64-bit. When I try to load the 32-bit Jamstix in any 32-bit host, I get an error that the infamous MSVCP100.dll is missing:
As you can see it is present. I reran the installer and fleetingly saw this pop-up:
After investigation, it seems that the Jamstix installer has installed the 64-bit MSVCP100 into the System32 folder but has not installed the 32-bit MSVCP100 into the SysWOW64 folder. Maybe the assumption was that I would only be running 64-bit plug-ins, even though I had selected to install the 32-bit plug-in too?
If so, which Microsoft download (link and date, please) do I need to fix the problem? Will installing that mess up anything-else?
This proved interesting reading:

Also, if I want to go back to v3.5.0 can I just copy back the jamstix3.dll and audioM8.dll files? (rather than reinstall v3.5.0)

Thank you, but does that mean that there is an outstanding buglet in the 3.6.1 installer?
Also, how about going back to v3.5, just by copying back the 2 dll files? |
