I'm using a combination kit of JS + midi out sent to Addictive drums.
When I set the snare to Midi Out Only, Addictive drums will play some of the hits, but during fills with a lot of close notes, nada. I can see the snare light up in JS. When I switch it to an internal JS snare, all the notes play.
When I record the midi out of JS, and play that into Addictive drums, all the hits play.
I'm using 3.5.1 Beta 2, on Win XP sp3, in Reaper 4.32.
Changing my ASIO buffer doesn't seem to affect it.
I THINK it's just the snare, but I'm not certain.
Any suggestions? |

Please make sure the 'Snare Offset' articulation is routed to the correct MIDI key for AD.

Hmm. Snare Offset is being sent on F#2, which is not mapped in AD. So I can fix that, (what should "offset" be sent to? - there is no matching articulation that I can find in the AD default map). But in looking further into this, I see that the other articulations are actually being sent two octaves lower than what they indicate in JS, e.g., the Snare Center in JS says "D3", while in AD it is D1 (technically, that's "Snare Open Hit", which I assume is the same thing.)
Is there a way to get them to match up? It's a little confusing. |

'Snare Offset' is a hit mid-way between snare center and rim, which a drummer does when doing rolls versus the single center hits during a groove. AD may have it as a L or R snare hit. If not, just map to another snare center hit.
The two-octave offset can be fixed by checking 'Yamaha Pitch Convention' in the JS3 Options.

Perfect. I mapped it to "snare shallow hit". AD has labels for "snare shallow Rimshot" as well, but that didn't seem to match your description.
Thanks for the answer re Pitch Convention. Problem solved.
