Hi Ralph.

I just downloaded the latest beta and unzipped the file. What do I do with the resulting .dll file? Do I just replace the old .dll file in the Jamstix folder?

Yes, simply replace the file and that's it. You can also rename it if you want to be able to go back quickly.
