I installed the 3.0.2 update and now the whole Jamstix is gone from my plugin list...
I'm running Win7 and Reaper 3.73/x64.
Trying to run Options/Preferences/VST/"Clear cache/re-scan" I get this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1474550/reaper/rpr_err2.jpg
After clicking "skip" and trying to re-scan, it scans normally but does not show Jamstix in the plugin list...
Also, when it worked, trying to export into midi-file would leave random blank spots in the file:

Those files are both exported from the same song file. The only place there really should be silence is where the time selection is. |

Threw Comodo away and that seemed to sort it out, thanks for the tip.
Any idea about that midi export thing? |

IIRC Boot up Reaper and let the song play all the way through once before you export the midi.See if that gets it
Section 15.2 in the Manual(You now that thing that we always read all the way through<grin> |

Yes, I've done that (played the song through, not read the manual. Although I have read it... ) even couple of times but it still leaves gaps.
And now that I went and tried to do it again, it worked like it should.
It's driving me nuts I tell ya. |

I don't bother with midi files for the drums since using JS.Reaper stores all the data anyway |

Anyone with problems, please try JS 3.1 beta and, if problems persist, send me rzdlog.txt from My Documents\Jamsix3. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Well, I have the habit of coming up with a riff and then recording it so I don't forget. After a while I have a bunch of riffs and I begin messing around with them In Rpr. For me it's easier to work with midi snippets, as I'm moving stuff around the timeline figuring out what works with wht and where ("does this riff work after that one? what if this became before that?" etc.).
Don't know if I'm explaining this clearly, but I hope you get what I mean. |

I also get gaps here and there, from time to time. Then I play the whole song through once again, and I can't figure out why, those gaps are gone. |

| Hi. I tried the Jamstix demo. I am using Reaper. I tried installing the Jamstix folder to where the rest of my vst plugins are. I see the audiom8 dll but i don't see the jamstix demo. I'm wondering what i am doing wrong. Addictive drums work fine. Using Windows 7 64 with reaper 32 bit. |

Make sure REAPER can 'see' the folder where jamstix3_demo.dll is. Jamstix will be listed under 'VSTi' in the REAPER fx dialog. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I did. Reaper can see the audiom8.dll that is in the jamstix folder but reaper can't see jamstix demo itself. |

Try running REAPER via right-click->Run As Admin and then do a re-scan. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
