|
|
Hi - I just purchased Jamstix and am having some issues using it under Cubase 5.5.1 / 5.5.2.
My system – Cubase 5.5.2 x32 bit| Win 7 x64 |Jamstix 3.0.2 Beta 9
The issue seems to be when I load Jamstix within a large project. When I load Jamstix after the large project has loaded - it comes up with the message “Can Not Load: and then a string of garbled characters. The project contains many large VSTs (SD2, Omnisphere, Trillian, Ivory) and the size is 2.7 GB as reported in Windows Task Manager.
I find that I can load Jamstix if it is by itself or with just Jamstix and SD2 in a separate project. This seems to be stable but I will need to test this a bit more.
I also was able to load Jamstix in the above mentioned large project if I loaded it as the first VST in the Instrument list. It would work for a while - but sometimes Cubase would crash or crash upon the next startup and just exit.
I am using Jamstix to drive SD2 but I load SD2 separatly and not under the VST option in Jamstix.
The actions I have taken so far:
- Uninstalled Jamstix and re-installed
- Upgraded Cubase to 5.5.2 from 5.5.1 hoping this would help
Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Update - I used Jbridge to bridge Jamstix to Cubase x32. This appears to work better - with an occasional hang on load up. When the project does load successfully - Jamstix and the project appear to behave correctly.
This is just a short term work around and bit more information on the issue. I look forward to any input on solving the original issue.

Ralph - same issue - error pops up when loading the Jamstix VST "Can't Load: V".
The only slight difference is it now says "V" instead of a bunch of alien characters.
