(Using Reaper 3.60/3.61) If I change the style or the player in the brain window, the window shows only the brown background until I scroll, at which point the controls reappear. The groove, accent and fill tabs all act the same way and switching between them does not force a refresh, only scrolling does.

Yeah I have that problem sometimes too, except when I wanted to get a screen shot, then it behaved itself. Confused

Sometimes the upper right corner of the black screen would show up out of kilter with the brown screen, but as you said, scrolling gets it cleared up.

I do think it's a worthwhile test, though, as the 1024x600 format is likely to be popular for a while to come yet.

JS3 runs OK on my Acer Aspire 532h 2Br netbook (XP OS).

I'm very interested in the smaller interface because I'm running Jamstix 3 on my netbook as an ultra portable option. For example, to use on holidays while the missus is sunbathing.

Jamstix works fine on my netbook with Reaper with the onboard sound when I'm programming other instruments in midi using the midi event editor in Reaper.

For audio recording over the drum tracks, I'm using my Toneport UX1 and I can get low enough latency using the Line 6 ToneDirect monitoring.

I like the option to reduce the dynamics realism to reduce memory useage because I've only got 1GB RAM on my netbook. Whereas AD and SSD take up too much memory for my netbook, so they're restricted to my desktop.

It's working now.

Another observation: When I go to load a kit, the Kit Contents window for the currently selected kit is blank. I have to choose a new kit to see the contents.

And I still can't downmix, I guess I'll have to reinstall.

Not sure I understand. Can you send me a screenshot?

Can you refresh me on this as it stands with RC3?

RC3 - Two quick things.

I loaded a Jamcussion demo (West Africa) and:
1) It says the Drumsticks sound is missing. I know I've seen that mentioned before, so I'll go back through this thread in a bit unless someone remembers offhand why that happens.

2) When I go to the Kit window the contents pane is empty until I switch to another kit and back.

Video:

I have Jamcussion installed, BTW.

Thanks-

-Susan

- Popcorn (XL) no longer needs XL pieces. We just haven't changed the name, yet.

- contents refresh issue will be fixed

- please uncheck 'Never Downmix' in the 'Options' for 'Downmix' to work
