Hey Ralph,
Are the old JS1 kits useful for anything?

Hi Ralph and fellow JS fans,
I just uninstalled JS2 and installed JS3 (I wanted a clean install), then all my paks (JS2 and 3 stock kits, Bonzopak, XL pak, Jamcussion and Jamcussion Update1). It asked for the JS3 key when loading and the JC key a little later, but not the Bonzopak key. Oh well...
Anyway, all (or nearly all) is fine, and I'm looking forward to getting to grips with it. But one little thing is bugging me - when I load some of the sample songs, the kit gets loaded with "1 sound missing" (Drumsticks). If I click the sticks, no sound. If I right click and change the sound to "Drumsticks JS3" then they do sound. But the top right still shows "1 sound missing". I can't see a plain vanilla "Drumsticks" in the data folder, either, just the two options that come up when I right click the sticks in the kit window.
When I load different kits with these songs, things get even more strange - like the sticks sound seems to be mapped to rimshot in the Bonzo kits, for example.
Is there an easy fix for this, or have I misunderstood something basic?
Thanks!
Bill |

Hi Ralph - sorry for taking a while to get back to you.
If I load, say, the song "Jam Session (Bonzopak)", then when the kit is loaded it says "1 sounds missing". If I click on that message it says the name of the sound is "Drumsticks". Left clicking the sticks makes no sound. If I then right click on the drumsticks, I can choose a sound for them - say, Drumsticks JS3. And clicking on the sticks then plays the samples. But it still says "1 sounds missing".
Am I missing a sticks sound from JS2 in my data folder, or something? |

That quickstart song is not part of the JS3 release. You can fix it easily by assigning Drumstick - JS3 and then saving it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
