For the first time I have tried to create specific hits in one part of a song.

I want a 2 bar pattern that repeats four times.
In the first bar I want kicks on beats 1,2,3,4, and a cymbal hit on beat 1.
In the second bar I want kicks on beats 1,2,3, 4 and cymbal hits on beats 1, 2and, and beat 4.
I want this repeated four times and a transition fill on the last repeat.

I used the Roger drummer and 8th rock style.

Taking the first two bars I deleted the notes that Roger would have played ( as the groove) and put in my kick and cymbal notes. I locked the bars.
But Roger insists on playing very busy fills even in the first bar, never mind the repetition bar, even though repetition fills are not set!

What have I done wrong? The manual seems to suggest this editing of the drummer's groove should work.

I didn't use the silent style as I want Roger's fill in the transition bar ( but not everywhere else as he is currently doing!)

I've sorted this out. I used the silent style and drummer. It also played a transition fill, which isn't what I was expecting, but what I wanted.
