|
|
This is an important update for Jamstix 2 and can be downloaded from your personal download page. Thanks to all the beta testers!
Changes From 2.5.1
- Jamstix now allows song looping. The part menu now has an 'Song Loops To Here' option, which means that when the song position exceeds the end of the last part, it will loop to the beginning of the designated part. This can be toggled on/off in the 'Options'
- ambience gain control in the mixer now separates drums and Jamcussion
- the 'Halftime' option now affects styles even if they do not specify halftime rules for themselves. In that case Jamstix will remove all snares above 90 velocity and place a main snare on the beat in the middle of the bar
- added 'Early Downbeat' option to the fill generator
- improved cluster assignment strategy in the fill logic
- added 'Steven Slate Drums' MIDI import mode
- expanded fill generator capabilities
- notes sent from the brain to a subhosted VSTi are now sent with the MIDI channel specified for the sound
- if the tempo is 65BPM or less, kick velocities in 16th clusters are no longer velocity-adjusted
- MIDI clips can now be dragged onto the brain. If the part has a groove importer it will be used, otherwise one is added. If multiple clips are dropped, successive parts will be used
- MIDI clips can also be dragged onto bars in the timeline where a straight MIDI import of the corresponding part is performed. If multiple clips are dropped, successive parts will be used
- fixed amount slider not affecting play filters
- fixed a bug with the kit editor grouping function
- fixed mouse pointer problems when turning kit editor knobs while Jamstix crosses from one part to another

Thanks a lot for all the work you put in these updates, Ralph, but let me complain for a second the fact that, as of 2.5.2, still Jamstix2 installer isn't able to detect a moved data folder, and it insists in installing the data folder updates under the path in which the DLL resides.
Probably v2 is now a done deal, any chance to have v3 installers correctly detect changed locations for data folder?
My install path was probably full JS2 -> 2.5.1 update -> 2.5.2 update.
Thanks,
Mario |

to ask, but, can someone point me to that page on the site please? Looks like I still have 2.5.1, at least that's what it says on the opening page of the program. I can't wait to not have that mouse freeze up on me, I thought my head was going to explode! (Now I have to shut down and reopen Cubase SX3 to get beyond that).

The download page is a personal one for each licensed user.
You should have the link to the page in an email from Rayzoon. |

OK, thanks. I will have to ask Ralph for another one perhaps, as I am not sure where mine is. I got JS1 a long time ago, it's probably lost in the email inbox way back then.
