i have some questions regarding hat openess. i'm using latest official JS 2 release.

1) if i use CC4 in the piano roll to control hat openess, this seems to "bypass" the hat openess information you can decide in the arrange window.
this means that, in order to have all the hat at 50% beside the last one at 100%, you have to use the CC4 in the precise moment you want the hat open. simply "closing" or "opening" the hats in the soudn menu with the hat icon doesn't seem to work for me.
after you placed a CC4 message in the piano roll, you cannot control hat openess form the JS sound menu anymore. is this correct or do i miss something??

2) in most styles there is no control for the "global hat openess" in the groove: i think it could be useful... there's one in "modern metal", for example.
even in this case... do i miss something?!

3) is there a shortcut to control hat openess without having to open the "soudn window" and drag the mouse over the hat picture in the upper part of it? i mean something like shortcut to control the hit velocity (rigth mouse click)

4) what about a dedicate control to place a foot hat hit in some part of the bar, with a slider such as the "bias" for snare and kick?

thanks!

Setting CC4 to 0 should return control to the brain.

You can use the import function in the brain menu to add the hihat element of 'Modern Metal' to any currently loaded style.

Not at this time, unfortunately.

What would this be for exactly?
