|
|
When I try to install I get to the screen to "Select Destination Location" when I select the folder I get a pop up message that states:
| Quote: | | The selected directory does not exist. Please make sure you are updating an existing Jamstix2 installation. |
A while back I re-sorted some of the vst plugins in my Program Files and Jamstix2 is in this location:
C:\Program Files\VstPlugIns\_VSTi\jamstix2\jamstix2
I can't go any further in the installer as I get the pop up message no matter what destination I select.
Thanks in advance for the help! |

That's odd. Here is a quick work-around. Create an empty folder somewhere and select it as the upgrade path. After the installer is done, manually copy the contents of the new folder to the actual Jamstix 2 location and let it overwrite. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hmmm....your suggestion helped....perhaps it was user (my) error....when I select a folder the installer automagically appends "/Jamstix2" on the end so I realized the reason it wasn't working is that the file path had 2 "Jamstix2" folder paths...for example:
C:\Program Files\VstPlugIns\_VSTi\jamstix2\jamstix2
Because the second "Jamstix2" folder did not exist I believe that is why I was getting the pop up error. I took one of the "Jamstix2" out of the path name and the install worked fine.
Thanks Ralph. Great program! _________________ Cubase 4, PC, WindowsXP SP3 |
