OK. I had this happen to me again today. I am not using the latest beta so I will download that. I should also not that I cannot repeat it every time like I could before the first fix I had.

However it was the same thing, I went to set the song style and PC totally locks requiring a reboot even after force quitting Cubase.

I did notice something new this time – the NVida video management system also crashed at and I also noticed that I get pops and clicks when I have JamSticks open and it is scrolling/composing. Like a video driver conflict.

I have not updated my DAW for months and it is not on the net so not sure if they are related.

Anyway I will grab the new beta and see how it goes.

Cheers,

Jason

I'd check for the latest drivers for your Video card and even if you have them re-install them anyway.I always use Nvidia cards.ATIs always have crappy drivers IMHO.

I'd also investigate your DirectX installation and re-install DirectX as well.

I've been an avid online gamer for years on and off and those extra added cr*p like Nview are just another thing to slow down and trip up windows IMHO.I disable them all as who really ever uses them?
