I know how to move or delete a sound in the measure grid but not how to actually add a new sound to the grid. or how to add another of the drums that are already there.

I read manual and didn't see how to do this.

Adding a note: click on an empty cell and then click the desired sound in the cell editor that opens.

Copy a note: drag the existing note to an empty cell while holding the CTRL key down.

Fast delete: drag an empty cell onto the note you want to delete.
