Hi yalls,
When installing Bfd expansion packs, which velocity layers work best with jamstix? small, med or large?
---> I tried ' large' before, and i noticed that the hihats, toms, cymbals werent as consistent as the kick +snares in terms of natural human-sounding velocity. Perhaps selecting a smaller velocity range on installing bfd expansion packs would work better for jamstix studio work? Either that or perhaps Jamstix could cleverly create a feature in jamstix where we could select the external vsts' velocity range.
eg. BFD JNF expansion :
small velocity installation = 20 velocity layers
med velocity range = 40 velocity layers
large velocity range = 128 velocity layers
(jamstix's audio has only 9 velocity layers)
Thanks |

It really doesn't make a difference to the JS2 brain how many layers the subhosted drum module has. It sends a velocity value between 10 and 127, no matter what. Depending on the 'Power Vry' setting in the brain, more or less of that range will be used at the same song power level.
Also, make sure the anti-machine gun setting of BFD is on. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
