Hey all,
bought a new p4 to run Jamstix on cause the old p3 wasn't quite hacking it. Anyway, had to install XP and my MAudio Audiophile sound card. Now I"m getting a message that states "PCI Flash Memory not found". ?????
Tried updating everything, dl'd new drivers. Still no luck. Any suggestions to help me get Jamstix up on this new machine would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Jeff,
No, I don't claim to be a "guru" but perhaps I/we can help.
I did a google search for exactly "PCI Flash Memory not found" and there were no exact matches, none! (It seems you may be the first person on the planet to post this error!)
Please describe, in detail, exactly how you installed XP. Is this a home-built system or a brand name? Exactly when does the "PCI Flash Memory not found" error occur? Please be as specific as you can.
KC

take out your m-audio sound card and run sound from the mobo using its drivers, and see if you get the same problem.
could be something on the m-audio have been shorted |

Ok, I think I know whats going on. Does your new PC have a built in Card reader? you know those little Flash card readers for memory cards?
If so, maybe there is a special software that must be installed for that to work. I kind of doubt it though, cause XP should auto detect that and install the drivers on its own.
Also try plugging your PCI audio soundcard in another PCI slot, that may help too. _________________ Musikman
