The interface problems/distortions and associated errors are due to non-standard (96) DPI display settings and this will be fixed shortly.

Maybe found another bug - a lot of sounds missing for old JS1 kits (for those people who bought JS2 Regular and had all paks from JS1):

http://rayzoon.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?p=18558#18558

Maybe look into this one?

---

Another bug that renders JS2 complely unusable for me if that's happening, unless I reload JS2. I have 2 JS running, one as normal soundengine for playing back a certain patter, and a second one to reprogram one (or add additional drumming - might be useful if I don't like what the drummer played as MIDI).

Anyway, two JS2's running in SX3.

Now if I either click into the song window, or the pattern "order" window, and don't click on a name, number, drummer or that retangle logo at the bottom of the screen, a window pops up saying "you're fucked". And by that I mean:

System Error. Code: 1400 - Ungültiges Fensterhandle.

Well duh, and all I programmed up to this point is gone, cause everytime I hover the mouse back onto the JS2 GUI (no matter where), this thing pops up, till I remove JS2 out of my Instruments Window.

MAJOR BUG indeed, which let's me totally freak out, cause one wrong click, and the work of 30 minutes is gone... vanished into the nirvana. Wonderful.

EDIT:
Seem to mainly occour only if there're "two" JS2 engines running. I removed completely the second instance and went on working with the first... wild clicking and stuff included - no crashes so far. Still not cool IMO.

---

The "crash on transition" bug however seems to depend on the drumset. I loaded a brush set, and the transition crash works, I load a JS2 set (mostly Drum&Bass , the clean one), I get no crash at all.

Maybe it's RC3 that's causing a lot of bugs, but I'm not in the mood for JS2s behaviour at the moment and just want to switch back to JS1 for the time being.

I'll look into the 2 instance issue and will get back to you. Could you send me your rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix 2 folder?

I didn't do detailed logging, just regular. And it seems like, since it later worked with one instance of JS2, that he simply overwrote the log. So sorry about that.

I even tried to recreate that crash. It's just like the other one I reported with the MIDI CC popup window. First it's there and goes haywire, then it's gone as if it never existed (even the abandoned log.txt for one of the two instances was empty). It's really acting on a sporadic basis it seems. Just like the sounds... sometimes he loads them properly into the memory, sometimes he's like "Okay, lemme take like 1 second, overload the CPU in the meantime, but then you have all samples again". Without me pressing any buttons like "Cache" or something like that, btw.

Really strange behaviour.

The "End with Crash" thing is also sporadic... can anybody confirm that maybe - not that my JS2 has an own ghost or something and just wants to mess around with me.

Just released 2.0.19-RC5 with these changes:

  • skinning system now supports non-standard DPI display settings
  • added 'Extract Part' to bar menu
  • fixed sound sometimes skipping with FL Studio and 'Fixed Buffer Size' unchecked
  • fixed kit and event auditing via MIDI-Out being disabled by last beta
  • added loaded quickstart song name to song sheet (new skins only)
  • 'Power Hand' now offers 4 degress of hihat opening instead of 2
  • added ini parameter to suppress panel mouse moving on Linux/Wine (BlockMouseMove=1)
  • max core bars per parts has been raised from 16 to 64

Let me know if you encounter any issues.

Again Wink

With 2.0.19rc5 i can't load ccMaps in some dialogs. Every try i get an "AccessViolation at address 0efcc99d in module 'jamstix2.dll'.Read of address 00000020".
If i kill the errordialog (normal exit is impossible) the ccMap seems to be loaded.

Repro:
RightClick Power.
Set CC1 to velocity (moving the modwheel or another controller does nothing here [no learn])
Save map
Close dialog

RightClick Power
Load the saved map

The same happens with shuffle.
With brain it seems to be ok.

This happens under Win XP pro and Vista Ultimate. Hosts are Cubase4, Live6 and Sonar6PE.

Btw.:
Thank you for the extract-function Very Happy That was really fast. Before .20 - Wow.

With CR5 all player pictures are Black and White now. Will they stay that way from now on? (So I can edit the ones I added).

Willy.

Yes, they will stay B&W so that they can fit better into other skins.

Got it, I will then convert to B/W my pictures.

Another question:

I don't think this is related to the new RC, but I am not able to load a whole song drum midi file.

I would like to hear how JS2 plays an already made song. But when I try to load the whole midi part I get an error "list index out of bounds (0)" If I load a single 1 bar midi file it works.

Willy.

Please send me the MID file.
