Dreamings Not Reality(256Kbps MP3)
In the quest to find my drum sound here is another tune. It's pretty heavy and groovin.
I just finished up sampling my drumkit today too which will be available soon for Jamstix version 2. My kit will be sold as a seperate affordable pack. You will get my set compression and EQ as well as the settings the Jamstix people use. Info on Jamstix can be found at Rayzoon.com.
I know this sounds like a comercial, but I think a decent amount of people know me and enjoy the drum sound I have. Anyway, I think I've hit the nail on the head with the drum sound, tamed the highs a bit, the snare sounds good and the kick is full and defined. Anything I may have missed? _________________ Straight Jacket Sunday, Multiple Personality Disorder coming soon... |

Just to give this a more official aura: Monkeymanx and Rayzoon are working on "MetalPak", a Jamstix 2 expansion Pak that will feature a metal-oriented kit and several metal style and drummer models. We haven't said anything about it yet because it is quite a bit off from being finished. However, the release is likely within the next 8-10 weeks. Since Monkeymanx has the metal expertise, a killer metal kit and very good miking/recording skills, he is doing the recording and is seeking some feedback to get the tone right. I'll edit the sample data, create the JS2 kit(s) and develop the styles and drummers.
Pricing will be announced with the final release date but should be quite reasonable. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Whaaaaat? Metal style drummers?
So after all, you can create your own drummers huh?
Nice tune BTW, but with my tiny laptop speakers I can't hear anything objectionable about the drums, except that maybe the whole thing should be re-EQed to be more darker (my own taste), but that's more of a mastering issue. |

Don't worry, I sent over unprocessed sounds to them so they can do what they want as far as comp and EQ. I'm also still working on my comp and EQ to get it 100% where I want it. My soundsettings will be there too because I want to use it on my album which was done with JS1 but will be redone with JS2 prior to release. _________________ Straight Jacket Sunday, Multiple Personality Disorder coming soon... |

Hi,
will the registered users get an infomail when the expansion is availiable?
And... will there be also heavy-evil-fast doublebasepatterns in the style and also a doublebasekit available?
Powermetal and Speedmetalproducers would appreciate it, I like Halloween for example and there basedrumpatterns, the hell... |

Yes, e-mails will go out when it is released. There will be several metal drummer models included with various double bass characteristics.
There are no dedicated double bass kits because the sample engine doesn't care about the number of physical drums. The brain just uses left and right foot simulation. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

This is a great track. Can't wait for the expansion. I'm trying to make some Nu-metal (stone me, will ya ) and the normal kits are just not hard hitting enough somehow. |
