Ralph,
I just starting to work with CB4 and Jamstix.
Forget importing older projects with Jamstix. I am just importing tracks into a new project. The real problem is the output setting (I have it set to 10) in Jamstix has no effect in cubase. All the drums are assigned to output 1. So Cubase only opens one output. I started to assign the kit to different outputs and was going to close and reopen Jamstix. But Cubase crashed while I was attempting this.
I don't know if you have looked into Cubse4 yet but a lot of folks upgraded. I don't know if the VST3 things has anything to do with any of this. Cubase still suports the older VST2.2, but Steinberg dropped any support for DX.
I m not going to push it any further til I here back from you.

I tried moving jamstix over to the CD4 vstplugins folder. Which was probaly not the right things to do. Jamstix couldn't find the accent folder. Still opened, still no outputs.

Bas just pointed out that in the VSTi rack there is a button right of the edit button that sets the visable outputs. The default in Cubase is the stereo pair. When I opened that function I could make select the outputs that I wished to use.
I did move all files nd folders to the CB4 plugins directory. The first time I opened jmstix it asked for the path. once I set that ll appers to be OK.

Yes, you need to set visible outputs in CB4 to the desired value.
Some users also have issues with loading of old projects. If that occurs, I recommend saving the JS state in the old Cubase to a FXB file, then remove JS from the project, save to a new file, open that file in CB4, reinsert JS and the load the FXB. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
