| I see from another thread you have Jamcussion, the sounds are most likely ( but not necessarily ) coming from JC make sure in the wizard to set the JC section to silent for style and drummer and empty ... |

Jamstix will follow the tempo of your host software, REAPER, Protools etc, so set up a tempo map how you want in your host first, then use the half time options etc in Jamstix as needed.

Make sure you don't have midi only highlighted in the mixer view, also you need a drummer loaded and you need to use your saved style as the style.

It comes down to what works for the song with me, I,ve just finished mixing a 14 track album ( not mine ) and all the drums were done in JS3.
10 out of the 14 tracks i used the JS3 samples and they ... |

I set markers in reaper that correspond with the start of the verses, choruses etc then its very quick using the number keys to jump to any position in the song.
Its not ideal and it would be great ... |

So i dicided to map a kit for BFD ECO from scratch and it seems th have worked perfectly !!
I started with no drumkit loaded and used the right click load option to load the drums & cymbals ... |

Use your host automation to automate the song power knob in JS, it works great, i use it often when the song needs varing dynamic levels.
I would lock all the parts first though just in case JS wan ... |
