I re-installed SP3 for WinXP on a hunch and it's solved the 'press record, open hi hat nightmare' problem.
However, I'm using 'Carmine' for that particular project and while they're closed ... |

Thanks for the quick response. Host has a 'reset after recording' option, tried it checked and unchecked and nothing changed.
I also tried exporting the MIDI file, then importing to host. Same resp ... |
